There are several best book series to read. Honestly, nothing beats the feeling of reading a new book series. It’s just like watching a movie with many seasons, but only that your imagination makes it better. I wasn’t a fan of reading series until recently. I binged a particular series for a month without reading any other book.

Bibliophiles, in particular, love reading the best book series. Because they need to stack their shelves with books. And what’s the fastest way to do that? Exactly! With series.  So are you searching for the best book series of all time? Perhaps you need a particular book series to beautify your shelves? Well, today’s your lucky day.

In this article, I’ll list my favorite best book series to read in 2021. And not just that, I’ll list the best book series of all time. This list mainly focuses on Young Adult (YA) novels. In my subsequent posts, I’ll compile a list of mystery, adult books, and, of course, romance. So here are the top ten book series to read in no particular order. Trust me. You won’t stop flipping through their pages.

1. Harry Potter: The Complete Series by J. K. Rowling

Best book series: Harry Potter

No of Books: 7

📚: Harry Potter and the: Philosopher’s Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the Phoenix, Half-Blood Prince, Deathly Hallows.

Harry Potter is not my best book series of all time, but it’s a series worth reading. You’ll love every piece of it. Unlike most series where three of five of the books are interesting, all seven are intriguing. In two words, it’s an “Epic Saga.” I loved how the books were interwoven and seamless down to book seven. Harry Potter is undoubtedly one of the popular book series presently. Besides, if you’re not big on series, read HARRY POTTER AND THE CURSED CHILD.

Best book series to read: Harry Potter Description

The novels talk about the chronicles of the young orphan, Harry Potter, and his friends. On his eleventh birthday, Harry Potter finds out he was a wizard and that his parents were into witchcraft. Not only that he discovers that his parents didn’t die in a car crash, but instead, they were killed by Voldemort, an evil wizard. This book series tells us how Harry Potter grows with his other wizard friends to fight a wizard war.

2. Bridgerton Series by Julia Quin

Best book series to read: Bridgertons

No of books: 8

📚: The Duke and I, The Viscount who Loved Me, An Offer from a Gentleman, Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, To Sir Philip with Love, When he was Wicked, It’s In His Kiss.

May I blow the siren? My lord/lady, May I? May I? Paparapapa 🥳 (guess I tried). I’m sure most people knew about Bridgerton when it became a popular Netflix series. Well, not me though, you all be safe. Need I say too much? From the movie, you can tell the book is fantastic.

This is my best book series to read for historical romance. I love it because each book series features one of the eight children of the late Viscount Bridgerton.  And if you’re wondering which of the series is on Netflix? Well, it’s “The Duke and I” Daphne’s story

Bridgerton Book description

The book is based on the lives of the titular family: Daphne, Eloise, Anthony, Benedict,  Colin, Francesca, Hyacinth, and Gregory. It tells us about their romantic escapades and how they follow their desires in the gossipy Buckinghamshire, and of course, there’s Lady Whistledown, the faceless know it all. If you can’t wait for the series on Netflix, we’ll here’s your chance to get ahead.

3. Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare

Best book series: Mortal instruments

No of books: 6

📚: City of Bones, Ashes, Glass, Fallen Angels, Lost Souls, Heavenly Fire

This is another interesting best book series to read. I watched the movie before I knew about the book’s existence: Clary Fare and the shadow hunters. For the film to be so interesting, I knew the book would be exceptional. This series will take your time. But, you’ll be glad it did.

Best book series to read: Mortal Instruments Book Description

15-year-old Clary Fray witnesses a murder in a New York Club by three werewolves. But then the body vanishes, and it’s difficult to call the cops when the werewolves are invisible to everyone except her. There’s not even a trace of blood to show that someone was killed—or was he a werewolf too?

4. To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before by Jenny Han

Best YA book series: To ll the boys i've loved before

No of Books: 3

📚: To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before, P.S. I Still Love You, Always and Forever, Lara Jean

I’ll recommend you get this best book series. Not to mention, it’s short, so you won’t even feel like you’re reading a series. So do those who complained about Netflix making two stories off the first one. Well, they didn’t. They just followed the book. If you’ve probably watched all three of the movies well, you can still read this series. I mean, what could go wrong?

To All The Boys I’ve Loved Book Description

This is a young adult novel that talks about 16-year-old Lara Jean and her crushes. She wrote love letters to all her high school crushes but never mailed them. Then one day, these letters get sent, and suddenly all her crushes notice her, and her imaginary life becomes real.

In book 1, I’m sure Lara Jean had more than two letters, and each of the series was meant to be about each boy she wrote to. But I’m glad it stopped at book three. There’s no better way it could’ve ended. And for those of you asking, “does Lara Jean lose her Virginity to Peter?” Well, only one way to find out, the book.

5. Divergent by Veronica Roth

Best YA Fantasy: Divergent

No of books: 3

📚: Divergent, Insurgent, Allegiant

Aside from Divergent being among the best book series to read. It is an intriguing YA novel that talks about love and self-sacrifice. Perfect for people who love dystopia and utopia stories. Besides, if you’re a big fan of the Game of Thrones, Maze Runner, and Hunger Game series, then this book is for you.

Best book series to read: Divergent Book Description

For Beatrice, the decision is between living with her family and being who she is—she can’t have both. So she makes a selection that shocks everyone, including herself.

6. Grisha Trilogy by Leigh Bardugp

Best book series: shadow and bones

No of books: 3 (trilogy)

📚: Shadow and Bones, Seige and Storm, Ruin and Rising

Shadow and Bones is currently on Netflix. This is one of the best book series to read. I love both the movie and the novel: Grisha, heartrender, shu, Ravkans, and the likes. I love fantasy novels. They present another reality. One you may hope that existed—especially the ones in series. Like you’re watching a seasonal movie, but it’s all in your head. As I mentioned earlier, Grisha Trilogy is a must-read and an eye-opener.

I’m presently reading the fourth book, “A Court of Frost and  Starlight,” and all I can tell you is it’s been an exciting journey. Book one and two were exceptionally intriguing. No of books: 4

📚: The Demon King, The Exiled Queen, The Gray Wolf Throne, The Crimson Crown

This best book series author’s last name sounds like a Nigerian. But that aside, it’s a lovely book series. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I love fantasy stories with a pinch of romance. This book series has several shocking turns and twist improved with actual sinister photos. Most books series I have read do not have this feature. So I’m not surprised it was once a New York Times bestselling novel.
