You’re my paradise and I’d happily get stranded on you for a lifetime.
The night went with little drama. It seemed like he got tired of my sight. I filled my lungs with air and wandered down the corridor. I couldn’t sleep. Their family frame hung beautifully on the wall. Adams looked just like his mother. Chestnut eyes and the same slanted full brows. As for his dad, he only had his striking jaw.
The first few hours of the morning l went smoothly. I made breakfast, and Adam came to get his food without uttering a word. He didn’t cast me a glance. Ignoring him, I went to my room to unpack my bags. After decorating the room to suit me, I was less busy, so I went into the study room. I scanned through the shelves to find anything interesting. Most of the shelves were dusty. They needed cleaning.
Then my phone buzzed in my pocket.
“Ellaaaa.” She screamed. “How are you?”
“I’m good. Are you on your way?”
“Of course! I wouldn’t miss seeing you for anything.”
“Oh, please. Shut up and get here.”
I settled with a fashion magazine that read “Glam, Rock and Star.” The landline rang, and I answered it. It was the security guard.
“Someone here says she is your friend Mo. Mo, right?” he asked her.
“Yes, Mo.,” she replies.
“Oh yeah, please let her in. She’s a friend.”
“Alright then.” He replied.
I couldn’t wait for her to get in. It felt like I had not seen her for a very long time. I ran to the door and saw lovely Mo standing at the door. She was grinning widely.
“Remember this and never forget that I never want to be away from you again.” I sighed dramatically, giving her a tight hug.
She pushed me off and rolled her eyes. “Uh…huh yeah, you can tell me that after you show me the hunk, you are staying with or should I say, working for?” Mo giggled.
I sighed. ” Really, Mo? Did you come all the way here to see him or me? Take your pick right now.” I stood arms at akimbo.
“Well, both of you. But the forner comes first.” She breezed past me into the living room. “Hello?” She waved her hands. “Don’t just stand there. Get your visitor something nice to drink. I’ll prefer iced tea. I need to gather enough energy to take in all of his beauty.” She flexed her arms and smiled.
I laughed and shook my head. “And here I thought you’d have changed.”
Mo laughed. “Not anytime soon, dear. So how have you been?” She cocked her head.
“I’ve been okay.” I sat beside her. “yeah, it’s not that bad. Mrs. Savage is a nice woman, and she has given me access to the whole house coupled with paying me firsthand to cover my bills. The only difficulty I’m facing here should be her grandson, but then, it’s nothing I can’t handle.”
I looked at Mo, and her eyes were elsewhere. Then she muttered. “Speak of the devil. Don’t tell me that mini Greek god right there is the guy you’ve been talking about. You mean he’s the pesky grandson?”

Adam descended the last steps in just a pair of white shorts. His hair was wet and tousled. And he was a sight to behold. My mouth hung lowly. Heat rushed up to my cheeks. He walked off to the kitchen unbothered.
I snapped out of my reverie. But Mo’s eyes were still fixated on him even though he was out of sight.
“Mo.” I shook her shoulders. She gulped and looked at me wide-eyed. I knew what she thought. Oh dear, I saw it too. Adams returned with a bottle and stared at us. He furrowed his brows and looked from me to Mo and back to me. I braced myself for what was to come.
